Thanks for the links to get me going. I'm a newb, I've had my STOMP for about 3 weeks now. I've built two good base presets so far that will be my main rigs.

I am trying to maintain unity volume between effects in a preset and also between presets. Other than trial and error and using your ear are there any Helix tools that help with this, if not it would be nice if Line6 developed such a HXedit tool...Although that could be quite the daunting task. How do others tackle this?

I have a HX Stomp XL with FW at 3.70 When using HX EDIT and switching between some purchased presets I get this error message: FAILED TO LOAD PRESET TIMEOUT WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM DEVICE. (code -8212) At which point I need to restart the STOMP and HX EDIT. All the presets work, and normally I can switch between them with no problems in HX EDIT. But this occurs sometimes. I am using HX Edit on Windows 11.

I added a SCRIPT MOD PHASE to a block. If I right click on the block I see options of FACTORY or USER default. I know it seems obvious about these settings, but I am a bit confused on how these settings work. I could not find anything in HX EDIT manual. It seems it's affected by if you edit settings for block and then if you save it or not. Does setting FAC or USER affect globally for effect or just in this preset? I want a way to ALWAYS to be able to retrieve the FACTORY setting for any effect. Can anyone elaborate more on the nuances of the FAC and USER default options for an effect.

My new XL is on its way so I am reading user guide. BLOCKs and PRESETs are defined on page 5 under common terminology. But BANKs are not defined. I am confused, can someone define what a BANK is and explain the difference between a PRESET and a BANK. Thanks.
