  1. Hey, I'm in France so I'm not sure I can actually create a support ticket, at least not easily. I can only see the European distributor's contact info on the support page you linked to. Never mind, I found the support ticket page. Out of curiosity, what kind of "added electronics" could help? I heard about "normally open" and "normally closed" switches and I assume it is related to this. Is there such a thing as a converter for this kind of thing?
  2. The amp is a Laney VH100. The switching capabilities are normally made with a custom footswitch from a 5-pin DIN output, but the guy I got the amp from also gave me a special custom made cable with a TRS output on one end. It allows me to switch the amp channel via the tip but I don't really know how things are wired within the cable and it's not well made anyway. I'm in contact with a tech guy who will build a better one for me, with the tip switching between channels and the ring switching the extra drive on channel B. I'll see with him if he can do something in the wiring to fix the inverted lights issue. @theElevators I haven't tried this yet. It's not ideal having to waste a block for this. As I said I'm using snapshots to handle amp channel switching with the instant controls. Right now I need to set the Ext. Amp. value to "none" to have the dirt channel on, and to "tip" to have the clean channel on, which is the opposite of what I would like. I think this stems from the same issue than the indicator lights one: what the unit reads as "tip" is the opposite of what it should be. I've compared with a dedicated TRS switching unit (OneControl Tri Loop) and it works the other way around: the unit is off when on the clean channel and on when on the dirty channel.
  3. Hey, I'm trying to set up my HX Effects for amp channel switching with a TRS cable. I've managed to set up one of the unit's switches to change channels via the tip, but the switch's indicator light is on when the amp is set to clean instead of dirty, and i can't find a way to reverse that behavior. I think this is a known issue and this user seems to have the exact same problem. The post is 4 years old, I was just wondering if this issue has been corrected since that time. Otherwise I'll be mostly using snapshots to handle which amp channel is selected but I wanted to know if there's a way to reverse the indicator light just in case. Thanks
  4. I'm looking for a compact, square one so I'd rather wait for the MC4 to come out... Mmhhh... I see. Guess I'll have to do without some external indicator to easily glance which snapshot I'm currently on. If anyone has an idea to take care of that I'm listening, but it's not something I absolutely need.
  5. @enjaltI considered the MC3 but it only has three switches. However, I just learned that an MC4 is coming so maybe I'll just wait. Morningstar products seem awesome indeed. @rd2rkI was thinking I might also need to send MIDI messages from the HXFX to the MIDI controller in my use case to "sync" them, so to speak. For instance, let's say I pressed a switch on the controller that sends the CC message to change to snapshot 2 on the HXFX. An LED or something on the controller would turn on to indicate that we're on snapshot 2. If then I switch to snapshot 3 from the HXFX itself instead of the MIDI controller for some reason, wouldn't the controller become "out of sync", still showing snapshot 2 as selected even though snapshot 3 is actually selected on the HXFX? I'm loving the HXFX but it's lacking a way to see which snapshot is selected when in stomp mode. That's also what I'm trying to remedy with the MIDI controller. The Hotone seems great but I'm looking for something square shaped. I'm in France btw. Thanks for the recs
  6. Hey, I'm thinking of using my HX Effects along with a midi controller to get even more flexibility out of it, and I'm looking for some recommendations and to make sure what I have in mind is possible. The main use case I'm thinking of would be to have dedicated switches on the midi controller to change snapshots. This would free up some of the unit's onboard switches. I'm new to midi but from what I understand, I could send values on MIDI CC 69 from the controller to the HXFX to change snapshots, right? I also noticed this option in the manual: This means I could send midi messages from the HXFX to the midi controller so that the snapshot selected on the controller matches the one on the HXFX, correct? As for the controller itself, I'm looking for a compact one with 4 switches (one for each snapshot) and the only one I've found so far is Matthews Effects' The Futurist. It's really hard to find where I am in Europe though, so I'm open to other suggestions. Thanks
