  1. Hi all, I just got a new Helix - I have decided to take the plunge and move away from an amp/pedals rig and go direct. I already own a Stomp XL so I'm semi-familiar with the Helix ecosystem and menus etc. I am using my Helix in Stomp mode and have successfully imported all of my presents from my Stomp XL into the Helix - and I have the foot switches assigned and working great. I have a question on how to assign the Expression pedal - I can't figure out how to set it. I want it to be a Volume / Wah on all of my presets globally. Do I have to create Volume and a Wah block and assign them? When I try to create Volume or Wah blocks and assign them to the EXP 1 / 2 I still get no sound. What am I doing wrong?
  2. thanks- that's very helpful. I will have to continue to play around with it. I can see benefits to either mode, I'll have to learn more about each. I'm exploring adding a two-button footswitch too.
  3. I just got a new HP Stomp XL a few weeks ago and am learning it. I am comparing Preset Mode vs Footswitch mode and trying to see which meets my needs the best. Honestly I like both. I was wondering if there's a way to integrate bank scrolling into Footswitch Mode or not? Also, for anyone who has added an external 2-button footswitch to give you more options, which one would be a good one to consider?
  4. I've already submitted a support/repair ticket, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to check in here either. My G50 transmitter pack won't turning on. I've tried 5 different pairs of batteries from 2 different packages. I'm sure I have the +/- poles lined up correctly on the batteries also.
  5. Line 6 tells me that the FBV2 should be working fine with my POD - that both buttons should be able to scroll in either direction. If I could get this to work, that'd be a satisfactory workaround. But currently the left button on my FBV2 does not do anything and it's a brand new unit. They told me to try a different cable or try plugging in the cable after booting up my POD. I'll test some more tonight.
  6. I talked to Line 6 phone support. Technically speaking, they say that the FBV4 does not work with the POD 2.0. But I've heard that it does work - and my POD does have the FBV Pedal jack. I'd like to try it. Otherwise I'll see if I can find an Express preferrably a Mk1. I don't need to make a big expenditure since I'll be it more for band practice than gigging.
  7. I have the slightly newer POD 2.0 with the FBV pedal jack, so which FBV4 or FBV Express should I look for? All I really need is 3-4 buttons at max like crunch, lead/solo boost, clean, and clean boost. I didn't like the FBV2 just because it scrolled and didn't function like a switcher. Which is a shame because it fit very nicely in my POD bag :) Ideally I'd like something would either fit in the POD bag or in my regular gig and cable bag without too much fuss.
  8. Is there a difference between the Mk1 and MkII Shortboards as it would pertain to functioning with my POD 2.0 unit? I'm also looking at the FBV4 and the FB Express. Techinically Line 6 says they won't work with the POD 2.0, but I've read on other forums those would work.
  9. Hi all, I have a POD 2.0 with FBV pedal jack. What are my options for footswitches? I bought an FBV2 but I don't like it since it only scrolls. If I can find a used FBV4 would that work? What would be my other options?
  10. I just bought a FBV2 Footswitch to go with my POD 2.0 (I have a slightly new pod with the FBV Pedal jack). How do I use the FBV2 or is their a manual that comes with it? I only really need to go between clean and crunch on my POD; just a small handful of sound changes.
  11. thanks. that's helpful. :) I wasn't quite sure how to read the indicator lights and display. thanks :)
  12. Hey all, This might be a dumb question, but I just got a new G50 wireless unit. Does the transmitter pack have a low battery indicator? Maybe I'm just missing it or not knowing where to look. -ryan
