Is it possible to turn the Effects Loop OFF for a channel?

Here's what I'm trying to do... I'm trying to use some external effects through the effects loop of my Spider Valve MkII HD100 head. That part works fine. However, I DON'T want to use those external effects on certain channels so rather than having to worry about stomping pedals as well as changing channels, I'd like to just NOT have the effects loop present on that channel. However I only see the option to run the effects loop as Pre or Post amp, not to simply turn it off or bypass it. Is this possible?
