Im not sure if you have read my threads but ive tried to follow the line 6 tutorial on 4cm and used the preset 4cm as wel as trying to build the preset from scratch. I really need someone to guide me through the process. Can you teach me ? Thanks for replying

Hi Folks, I hooked my Helix LT to my tube amp using 4CM and it sounds great. I then tried to add a model amp to my chaain but when i bypass my tube amo and engage the model it very low volume and horrible hiss. What do i do to get the Helix to give me the best of both worlds

Nope, just tried it today and i used amp presets no cab. When i went through the presets they either had no sound or feedback.

The tutorial said by toggling off switch A it would do what your suggesting, Any further help is appreciated and thank you so far

Im getting further confused as i set up 4cm per the line 6 tutorial. It said go under presets and select 4cm which i did and ran cables as they instructed. the tutorial then said if you want to use an amp model instead of your amp push the A switch and select an amp model. Thats what i meant by toggle

I hooked up my Helix LT using 4 cable method preset setting and it works well with my amp but if i toggle off my amp to use a amp model its awful. Any help is appreciated

I am new to the Helix and play at home so i use small amps. I have a Peavey 6505 MH and an EVH Stealth LBX. I watched and did the connections to the Helix/Amp per 4 cable method Line 6 video. I then selected to 4 cable method under the templates per the video. I assume under this format you are supposed to use the pre amp presets as this is what the helix is set up to do. The video then says i can engage or disengage the footswitch for the loop to use my physical amp or the models. When i disengage the switch my amp is only a clean tone and none of the panel controls do anything. What am i missing here because its really frustrating
