  1. I ran some un-scientific tests and found intriguing results: it seems the problem occurs with certain presets but not others. Keep in mind, in all those, the Playback and Overdub levels were at 100%. I have recorded myself playing then letting the looper play it back to me. Then in Photoshop, I overlapped the resulting sound waves from an Audacity screenshot. Blue area is the live guitar sound, yellow area is the played-back sound. First riff with the Line6 Dreadnaught preset: pretty much no difference And here's a different riff with a preset of mine: you can see a notable difference! I can't pinpoint exactly what factor is the deciding one: my preset has lots of effects (Reverb, echo, Flange) and no amp... I surmise that, from a certain level and up, some kind of compression is applied. Anyway, hope this helps someone along the line: if I find a solution, I'll post it here! Cheers,
  2. @WaubinHood: Interesting point, but honestly, I can't imagine that the engineers at Line 6 would take that decision away from the user. For instance, what if a guitarist uses 2 very different sounds for the loop and the live guitar (says a clean and a distorted one)? Wouldn't it be a bit risky for the engineers to assume that the loop sound must be attenuated, when the guitarist would much prefer to have them both the same volume, or even have the loop louder than the live guitar? I dunno, it just seems a bit far-fetched to me. Cheers!
  3. Whenever I use the looper on my POD HD, the looped sound volume is always a little lower than my live guitar. I'd say it's roughly 10% lower. Playback level is 100 Overdub Level is 100 Lo-cut is 0 Hi-cut is 0 Looper is completely at the end of my chain (after effects + amp) I've searched for clues on this but cannod find a solution or explanation. Any ideas?
