i fixed it. it's a security thing. thank god lol . hopefully they approve this comment but line6 is horrible with customer service. BUT, i got my ux2 working on a 2018 mac in about 5 minutes of rererereinstalling, automatically worked after i let my laptop know line6 isn't evil.
