It is still going through the AD/DA conversion though, even if all the models are off right?

Hello, When there is nothing in the signal chain of the POD or if everything is bypassed, is the guitar signal(or external signal coming into the return) still going through AD/DA or is it an analog buffered bypass? And is it possible to do true bypass with this unit? Thanks
