Raydeeo
I can see there are thousands of great user-submitted CustomTones available of Line 6 PODs, especially for the POD XT Series. Is there anyway the Customtone file-types can be converted, to use with other model PODs? If not, a file conversion program would be a great thing to have/offer to POD Users. How do others feel? 'Thanks' for listening!
evilmikehoo
I think it would be just great! There are a LOT of tones I'd like to have for the HD500. I've never owned the XT, but I downloaded Line 6 Edit and I'm trying to reproduce some of the tones manually from the XT (Line 6 Edit) on the HD500 Edit - but they ain't soundin' too good!.....yet!!! lol!!!!! ozbadman
Technically, they are different beasts so it's not really possible to convert one to the other. The XT has many more amp models, so how would you 'convert' those? You could possibly write something that did an approximate conversion, but it wouldn't be very accurate. Unfortunately, this means any tones you want will have to be created from scratch, or using an existing customtone as a starting point. I haven't looked at XT tones for a while, but if you could load them up in an editor and look at them, you could approximate them yourself using the HD editor, then tweak as necessary. Good Luck. That's pretty much what I've been doing.
