scherisho
Hi everyone, New user here so this may be 100% user error. I purchased a helix back around thanksgiving 2015 and didn't receive it until late January 2016. Life became very busy and the helix sat in the box it was shipped in after I opened it to make sure everything was ok. Last week I decided it is time to enjoy the helix and test it out. All I can say is WOW! I'm very impressed! I love the tones I'm getting from the Helix. I updated the firmware to 1.12 and did a global reset last week before tweaking. Everything has been working fine expect for one small issue that started a few days after using the Helix. Switch 7 (bottom far left swtich) will randomly self select itself. The helix then goes into the switch assignment screen. This doesn't seem to affect anything except for when I'm trying to program the unit and the switch self selects itself. I can disable the touch portion of the switches in the global settings and all is well. However I really like the momentary feature for programing and setting up tones. Is there something I could be doing to cause this? At first I thought I might have been bumping the switch. I put the helix on the floor, touched a different switch to select it and then I waited. Sure enough switch 7 would self select itself after an amount of random time. I know it is not because I'm bumping something. Any ideas before I get line 6 tech support on this? Thanks everyone, Eric
Geeman
I don't have an answer for you but I would like to add that my number 4 switch does exactly the same thing as yours. I have no idea what is causing it to go into switch assignment mode and it doesn't do it often. It's very random. I am really enjoying my Helix but, I have had reservations about the foot switches since before Helix was released. I've had so many switches go bad on past Pod's (X3 Live, HD500, and HD500X) and I was concerned Helix was using the same actuators. Anyway, I digress, my apologies. Hopefully there is a simple answer for our problem.
goomsy
Sorry to revive an old thread, but I was wondering if you guys have found a fix for this? It's happening to me as well.
