piker
Hi , I'm trying to install Firehawk remote from the app store onto my Ipad gen 3 device. The app itself can not be downloaded because it needs ios 10 or higher . Unfortunatly Apple ceased support for Ipad 2 , 3 for ios 10 so I can't upgrade . Line 6 claims it supports Ipad versions from ios 8 on .. Does anybody else has this issue and nows how to solve it ? Opened a ticket but can't wait for the weekend to pass ;-) By the way got remote installed on my iphone ( which has ios 10.x) and it works perfect . Just a tiny bit on the small side to use ;-) Cheers
suedehead99
I've got the Firehawk Remote app on my ipod touch and my ipad 2 (which stopped upgrading at ios9), no probs. Keep trying and let us know how you get on. And welcome to the forum!
piker
Solved it . If a minimum IOS version is needed for an app, in that case Apple does not propose an app version downgrade that works with your IOS . Unless you have already downloaded it before . There are 2 ways of solving this . Either you download the app with an apple device which has the newer version of IOS and is under your apple ID . Or you download the app under itunes, under your apple ID, without connecting the 'old ' device . Once you have done either of these you can download the app with the older device over the appstore . It will then ask you to download a compatible app version. Click yes and there you have the Firehawk remote . @suedehead99 : No idea how you managed to install it unless you had it installed before line 6 released the new version . Thanks to google and howtogeek www.howtogeek.com/263568/how-to-install-older-versions-of-ios-apps-on-an-old-iphone-or-ipad/

I've had it for about 18 months so that's probably it.
