tcundall
Hello, I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to recording using computers, I am using Reaper on a laptop with Windows 10, I was recording last night just fine, I'm pretty certain I was using Asio as the chosen Audio system and where you choose Asio Driver I selected Line 6 HX Stomp, unless I'm mistaken. After I finished recording I unplugged the USB cable and ever since then I have been getting an Asio initialyzation error message. I have reinstalled the free 64 bit version of Reaper, I have rebooted the laptop and the HX several times but it doesn't change anything. The only way I can get the Reaper system to see the HX is if I change the Audio system to Direct sound, I guess if that works then its better than nothing, but isn't it better to be using the Asio setting? I have downloaded Asio 4 all, so on the dropdown bar for Asio Driver it now only shows Asio 4 all and an option for my Focusrite Scarlet ( from previous recordings) which is not even plugged in. I'm confused, as it all seemed to be working fine last night and apart from unplugging the USB I didn't change anything Any help would be greatly appreciated. tcundall
Resolved by installing the HX Stomp Windows Driver! All good for now, until my next brick wall!
