BlackJag
I've got two 2 custom pedals made out of Dunlop Wah and High Gain. The pots in both have been replaced (with linear ones) and connected straight into the sockets. One is working perfectly fine but the other one seems to have a logarithmic response (both pots are linear). I get 85% position when the pedal is only half way down. I measured the resistance and the readings are correct as in, the resistance response to the pedal position is linear (50% at half way down etc). The curve is set to linear and I also tried different EXP1 inputs - made no difference. The only difference is the POT on the working one is 10k whereas the one in the "broken" one is 100k. I suspect the resistance might be too big for Helix to handle but the outcome is a bit odd to say the least. Does anybody here have any experience with custom pedals and Helix? BlackJag
I ended up replacing the 100k pot with a 10k one and it fixed the problem - the 100k resistance was too big for Helix to handle.
