zeezee
Ever since I upgraded to Windows 11, my UX2 has been posing more issues, issues that were present on Windows 10 too, however now they happen a lot more often because of memory integrity setting in Windows Defender, I think. So the issue is that randomly out of nowhere my audio would stop working, like there would be no audio coming from my headphones anymore and the only fix is to restart the computer because it wouldn't automatically re-load the drivers unless I restarted. Line 6's outdated drivers force me to turn memory integrity setting off in Windows Defender which didn't happen when I was on Windows 10. So the drivers are outdated, cmon Line 6... please put out an update to your drivers. Now my memory integrity setting In Windows Defender is set to off and I cannot even turn it back on because the UX2 drivers won't let me lol 2

RZKrusp3
Glad that I'm not the only one with these problems. I bought a new PC (Windows 11) awhile ago and the problems with my UX-2 since are driving me crazy. I'm starting to think that I'll have to buy some other audio interface if these 'driver problems' aren't sorted out soon.
Addictine
Unfortunately I don't believe that Line 6 monitors these forums (I may be wrong). I have the same problem with Memory Integrity - unfortunately it seems you need to disable it with the Line 6 drivers. There are other threads covering this exact topic, including:

mikeforlin6
Half a year later…still no real response from Line6. Just thought I would chime in with my experience - bought a variax (I have severe EMI/RF issues where I live, and it is the only axe I have that is dead quiet for recording - whole other story there). Anyway, workbench HD made me disable core isolation - memory integrity on my Win 11 machine in order for the Line6 driver to work. I read on some other forums how others had done this and didn’t think it was a big deal - but I know a thing or three about how machines get pwned and how memory isolation is actually good thing for the OS to do to help prevent that - so, didn’t feel too comfortable about leaving my windows 11 machine in that state. Figure I would just install workbench when I need to customize something and then uninstall it and reenable core isolation. Seems like even the Line6 uninstallers don’t even do their job right - didn’t remove the driver, entries left in the registry, autorun, etc... I was able to manually delete the driver out of c:\windows\system32\drivers and reenable core isolation, but this is really a lot of work - feel like I joined the Line6 family, but nobody is home - this is basic stuff, and iterate OP’s sentiment - c’mon Line6 - update the drivers and installation/uninstallation packages!
DLasky
Thanks for the info Mike. It's 2024. Having the same issue and the driver does not uninstall. Will have to do it manually (hopefully).... Actually did do it manually and it worked. Have a Mac that works fine, just a little old and slow. Also opened a ticket to see if it was at all motivational for the folks back at HQ. zeezee
hey guys, thought i'd give an update. since that original post i made, i started using my Steinberg UR12 but even that had its problems. I preferred Line 6's UX2 more so i decided to go back to it about a month ago. And it's been working fine for the most part. I'm not really having the same issue to the same DEGREE as before. maybe once in a while, my audio stops working, i just unplug the USB cable from my UX2 and then plug it back in and it starts working again. but this issue doesn't occur that frequently anymore. so i'm kinda satisfied i guess, it ain't perfect but hey i'll take it lol. Line 6's drivers still won't let me turn memory integrity back on (unless maybe if I re-installed Windows or I could try DLasky's suggestion too and try removing them manually but), I CANNOT UNINSTALL THE DRIVERS, BUT THAT'S OK, I DON'T NEED TO ANYMORE. Also maybe Microsoft solved most of the issue with an update on their end. That would be my guess. I guess not being able to turn memory integrity on is BAD, but I don't even really know what it's used for honestly. My original issue was that the audio keeps stop working unless i restarted my PC, and this issue does NOT happen that often anymore. so i feel much less frustrated TDLR: my issue is not occurring as frequently as before (it kinda happens on occasion), so i'm not as frustrated anymore. kirschke
Same issue here with UX2, moving to a new Windows 11 machine. Now hardware and all software purchased (Farm 2 and addons) are useless. What the heck, dudes at Line6, please, a fix already!!@!
