Sending output of amplifier to audio interface input

Hello,

I have a Spider V30 mkII. In the manual it is mentioned that it is possible to send the amplifier output to audio interface input (for example). I tried that but the recording is horrible, there is a lot of noise. I tried that on an u-phoria UM2 and also UMC 402HD. I'm not a specialist of electronic, but I guess I have somewhere an impedance mismatch problem. I don't know the specs of my Spider V30. So what are the prerequisites to have some decent sound recorded in an audio interface ?

I want to record the output of Spider V30 with some of the nice effects that are proposed, that I can't find exactly as vst plugin.

To summary my target: electric guitar ==> <input> Spider V30 <output>==> <input> Audio Interface ==> recording into some DAW

My ideal target would be in fact

DAW playing raw guitar ==> Audio interface output ==> Spider V30 input ==> Spïder V30 builtin effects ==>  Spider V30 output ==> Audio interface input ==> Daw recording :-) That way I would have the raw recording of guitar on one track and then an additional enriched Spider effect on another track. Well maybe I'm dreaming and we will talk about that in a separate post. I would be already very happy if someone tell me how to fix the first point.

Regards

Renaud
