JimRad Posted August 2 Share Posted August 2 I had the LT years ago and used it for solo. and bandgigs and eventually and with a couple of IR's I got it to sound pretty good. Years later I bought a Fractal FM3 to get that ultimate amp/speaker sound and it does have some great amp sounds. As I am mostly playing golo gigs now I was not happy with the format as I like to use several switches for stomp boxes and I missed the volume/wah setup. I could add even more expensive units to the FM3 but I much prefer everything in one unit for a fast and simple setup and after watching lots of youtube videos and checking out what I could get I ended up ordering a brand new LT - again! I was considering trying the Boss GT-1000 as I liked the GX-100 but it seems to be so old now and it gets way fewer updates than the Helix. To my delight the LT has received several great updates since my last LT, especially the cab updates are great (and were needed). I can't wait to get back to a great all-in-one unit that is so much easier to use on the unit than the FM3. I think Line 6 have nailed it with exactly the amount of options you need and not much more than that.
