Trying to install 2.5

According to a tutorial I'm watching on YouTube, once I sign in to my account through the PodGo Edit Software a window is supposed to appear letting me know that a new Firmware update is available. Nothing. Tried resiging in a few times and still nothing. No window to start the update proceedure appears.

Now, in green letters at the bottom of the PodGo Edit screen it says "Updates Available" so I thought I'd try that. A window does appear but it says"the following updates are available for" PodGo Edit 2.0 and for Pod Go Firmware 2.1.

Again, I'm trying to load Edit and Firmware for 2.5.

Never had an issue before. What's wrong?

Thanks for replying. No, I have not tried updating from this site. My attempts at updating have been through the Pod Go itself.

I'll try that later on today. (Just got up and the coffee hasn't kicked in yet!).

Sorry....when I said my attempts have been through the Pod Go itself....what I meant to say was: I have the Pod Go hooked up to my laptop with the provided cable and I'm trying to do the updates through Pod Go edit on my laptop just as I have in the past.

I believe I figured out the problem. My laptop is too old. It has Windows 8.1 and the requirements for the 2.5 upgrade are Windows 10 or 11.

Time for a new laptop. I've been thinking about it anyway.

Thanks anyways.

My new laptop just arrived yesterday! My son is getting it all setup for me. In time I will get around with trying to intall the new 2.5 updates.

I'm always nervous about these updates. With all previous updates I have never had a problem. Everything went smooth as silk. So it's a bit unsettling when I read here about others having big problems when trying to install the lastest updates. Makes me ask "do I really want to chance this?"

Success! Installed 2.50 edit and firmware without a hitch with my new laptop!

I really like the new features with the cabs. Like how you can see the mics and how you can place them. That's pretty cool.

Prior to 2.50 I really stuggled to get a decent Marshall sound but I'm having luck with the 2203 model. Made a few copies of that and I'm trying different cabs including some IR's I have to get (for me) the best sound. Still tweaking but getting there.
