Stadium use SPDIF as additional FX loop

Hello everyone.  So I'm planning my next major pedalboard refresh and I'm probably going to go with the Stadium Floor.  The XL is too big.

My biggest issues with the floor is that there are only two FX loops; I need to feed a stereo guitar synth into the Helix so that's going to use up both returns (which is what I do on my LT today).

Does anyone know whether it would be practical to use the SPDIF ports an additional loop?
o As far as I can see, the send/return blocks support SPDIF as you would imagine
o I assume you would need 2xDACS, not sure if the ones below are right (have not researched enough to know whether all digital co-ax are spdif or whether they are separate things, but these seem to be at a reassuring price point)

Would then need to convert from RCA to jack to use with the effect (in my case, an Eventide H9)

So - would this work? Would you then start to run into (a) latency issues, (b) spdif protocol issues, (c) impedance / level issues?

It would be awesome if this was a solution.  I'm guessing that someone on here has the necessary tech knowledge.

thanks

I think this will work.

a) latency issues: I don't think so.

b) I have had no issues with the Stadium SPDIF, but I haven't used it for too much.

c) You would need to set your H9 to use line-level I/O (which I see as an option their manual).
