I have used this method before & it sounds great.

My questions are for the  specific settings that work best through my rig with this method.

1.What should the  correct output setting be for 4 cable method?

( I have been using stacked front output setting with single cable method into Mesa head ).

 2.   What are the recommended FX loop settings be set at ?

 a.   How should I even out the volume difference between the FX loop on & off  when using my Amp foot        switch?

 3.   What settings should my mixer settings be in the signal chain ?

 4.   Since I am not using stereo set up should I make changes in the pan settings A & B ?

 5.   Suggested settings & advantages for occasional Amp modeling ?

       Any other suggestions you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Right  now at practice i just run it through the front of my Mesa Dual Rectifier half stack.. Been awhile since I tried the 4 cable method.

This time I want to make sure my settings have been set up correctly.  I Have a gig next week & want the  best sound my Rig & HD500 can give me.

You could just stick with how you been using it.

It is never a good idea to start changing things around just prior to a gig or recording studio session.

But when you have time;

1 Try them all including lowering the high shelf and focus..

2. Question 3 answers 2/2a.you have to adjust the FX return to match the off volume.

4. Not needed as the outs will sum.

5 Not for the gig
