PlaguePlaymate

Hey guys, long time lurker first time caller, I'm using Windows 8.1 as my OS and FL Studio 10 for my DAW and I recently got a Toneport KB37 for a good deal and tried out the MIDI features on FL. It works, but it's finicky in the sense that it wants to draw out some notes but not play others, but when I tried it on my laptop running Windows 7, it works flawlessly. What gives? Is this a driver issue or what? Is there a driver that works 100% with Windows 8.1 without these issues?
