Hi folks,
I'm a convert from a pod X3 live to Pod Go and have to admit whilst I love the unit itself, I don't think the expression pedal on the Go lives up to the X3, unless it's me - which I am hoping......
In a nutshell, when gigging I like to have my pedal on 50% and set the PA up to that level. I generally play all night like it but sometimes when it gets a bit livelier in the evening and more are up and dancing etc. and the acoustics change, I kick in for a solo and there isn't quite enough volume there to cut through - problem solved, I kick the pedal down to 100% and it lifts the solo for me. The X3 has never let me down yet doing that.
With the Pod Go, there seems very little control - it goes from off/very quiet to full volume with the slightest touch and then doesn't increase any further beyond that point. I have set the pedal up to control global volume so it shouldn't matter what effects I am using, although it does seem worse with higher gain stuff.
So the question, is it me ? Is there something I need to be doing differently? Is the separate expression pedal any better if I get one of those ? I thought about getting a boost pedal and putting it in line but then thought I shouldn't really have to.
Any advice greatly appreciated, cheers.
