You're right, tried to boot with button2 down and while it prompted the menu I was looking for it didn't help. I did refer to manual too but it didn't number any buttons as I figured, they were grouped under 14 so it didn't help. Oh well, I guess I can buy window tint since there isn't an actual option to do this :)

Can I rely on the cheat sheet, it has buttons numbered? What are the numbers talked about here compared to the floorboard? https://helixhelp.com/manuals/helix/reset-options/

I read that (or scrolled through rather) before, but as far as I understood that was about making the display more visible by external means. What I'm interested is in this post And particular comment here which is too arbitrary just to go for trial and error, again fearing I'm resetting something since there are no specific instructions. I'd like to see the actual instructions what is discussed here. What is "pedal 2, 4, 5" and so forth.

I need to dim down my Helix LT main display. Before going to shop for a window tint I wonder if there is a real way to do this. What I've read from forums there might be a way to get to some hidden settings (pressing some knob or knobs down while powering the unit?) but not sure if that's "real" because the instructions keep giving different knobs so haven't dared in case I reset the whole thing by accident. Also don't know if it's just about the footswitch leds or is the actual screen involved. Did not see anything like that on the manual with a quick look from screen related sections. Any ideas?

Alright, back to drawing board then finding ways to make the gear feel as I want. Thanks for replies.

Dang. Hmm, I wonder if I could use my Shortboard MKII pedal as external pedal... Something worth digging, and that's what it'll take, since pretty rare combo with gear, I'm sure.

Having trouble having smooth violin-in with expression pedal (in this case volume). Been looking for solutions to limit the sweep range (the range the expression pedal actually influences the sound). I've found a way to limit the range only in a way that does not compress the effect (volume) into the new sweep range. To clarify: I'd like the volume to go from 0% to 100% (and cap there!!) in shorter range then the whole pedal movement range allows. For example pedal should go from 0to10%, nothing happens (dead zone or flap or what ever it's called) , from 10-90% the volume goes from 0-100% and remaining 10% near toe switch, again, nothing happens <-- This would be desirable for me. How do I program this in? When I limit the pedal function range it always leaves the sound still outside the new set low and high points, so I do not know how to compress the whole sound withing new parameters. In volumes case this means that volume doesn't go fully down or fully up. I've searched the forums (and tried reddit few times also regarding this) and I haven't found solutions. I've found others with similar issues that I have, having squeaky pedals that don't operate as smoothly as I'm accustomed to with other gear. A solution to this squeaky not so smooth feel at the low point of pedal position (that don't require sending my Helix to trips that might take how ever long) is also welcomed BUT what I'm really after is just getting rid of the pedal extreme positions when using it and having the full effect with shorter sweep. Using Helix LT, HX edit (with Win10/64) Thanks for replies.

This worked for me, yet to find out how to use my Ghub related headset while using Helix LT which is essential to me. I guess I'll try to work on the launch order if there is no ready made solution.

Thanks. I can manually copy my Chem X as closely as I can and start tuning from there with this info you've given. However can you elaborate on the following so I can do the same with the other sound? I keep finding Mesa Boogie stuff with google on that and I'm not sure if I'm even in the right alley, can't find owners manual even for Pod 1.0 to verify what amp models were there... I'll be sure to check those other recommendations you've hinted at after I get my hands on the Helix LT!

Haha, touche :P I was stuck at the promo materials.

Thanks for the time you guys took to answer. So if I'm understanding correctly with Helix I *can* get to those insane level high gain distortion sounds I've had with previous amp models that now are missing from the list - meaning it's just a matter of tweaking and missing amp models is not a hard wall, is this correct understanding? If so then all it takes is effort, which is acceptable. Also I'm assuming that I can load presets (from other users or from the company directly) while learning to cope with new environment so progress wouldn't be at standstill until getting familiar what makes the new floorboard tick, yes? Oh and I can't find information can I step through the wah/volume pedal to make it on/off. Not sure what this is called (toe switch?). Currently working with shortboard mk2 and that feature is sadly missing -.-

I'm looking to upgrade my hardware and thinking of going with Helix LT floorboard. Before making that step though I'd need to know can I get near my favorite sounds with high gain models that I use (Lunatic and Chem X) from my old Pod which are not supported anymore. Any experiences in that area? I don't want to be left with lesser gains with Helix.
