Hey folks – Looking for some guidance/another set of eyes please..My overall goal is to use my 2 combo amps w/7CM (they both have effects loop) but for now I'll start with 1 amp :)
For starters typical > Helix 4cm w/1 amp.............and this work fine....
Guitar to Helix/HX Effects Guitar In
Helix/HX Effects FX Send Loop 1 to Amp #1 Main Input
Amp #1 FX Send Loop to Helix/HX Effects FX Return Loop 1
Helix/HX Effects 1/4" Left (mono) Out to Amp #1 FX Return Loop
Helix w/TRIO only...and this works fine
Guitar > Trio guitar In
FX Return Trio > Helix Send 1
FX Send Trio > Helix Guitar In
Mixer out > to my 4 channel Mixer which goes to a 1x12 cabinet
Helix patch > added at the end of the signal > FX Loop 1
Now when I try to incorporate my first amp here's where my issues seem to be..
Helix/TRIO/Amp/4CM....
Guitar In > Trio Guitar In
FX Return Trio > Helix Send 2
FX Send Trio > Helix Guitar In
Mixer out Trio > My Mixer connected to a 1x12 cab
Helix Patch > Added at the end of the signal > FX Loop 2
IIRC this worked perfectly yesterday but then I tried to add the 7cm and since then nada :)
I'm pretty sure it has to do with my FX loop 1 and 2..It's weird cause when I mute one of the FX loops in the patch I can get my guitar tones thru my combo cab and I can teach the trio which will come out of the 1x12 connected to the mixer but once I try to add a loop it won't capture it and then when I mute the other patch loop my amp now comes thru the 1x12 cab connected to the mixer and then the looper works fine..At this point I'm going in circles :) and I'm pretty sure I got this to work yesterday but have since made a change and can't figure out what's going on so any input would be greatly appreciated.
