Flextone III MIDI to USB issues

I'm having the same problem. Store wants another 75$ benchfee and the amp simply is not worth a second go after replacing ribbon cable and losing my presets. PC recognizes midi cable but not flextone III. Have tried factory reset. Don't know if it worked because amp is still not recognized.
