I'm trying to diagnose a harsh sounding catalyst 60.
If I plug a guitar directly into the "power amp" return jack of my catalyst (so bypassing all the modelling stuff), the signal breaks up in a fairly unpleasant way. It only cleans up just before the note has died out, so a very low input level.
I'm assuming this is not normal, can anyone confirm?
Also, even at the highest power setting and max volume, I can play in my loungeroom and it's nowhere near loud enough to play with a drummer. I swear when it was new there was no way I could max out like that - maybe I'm misremembering?
