  1. You're right, it was just a test to eliminate any DSP as a cause of the distortion. The issue persists using the amp normally, in any configuration. I'll contact support, thanks.
  2. I'm trying to diagnose a harsh sounding catalyst 60. If I plug a guitar directly into the "power amp" return jack of my catalyst (so bypassing all the modelling stuff), the signal breaks up in a fairly unpleasant way. It only cleans up just before the note has died out, so a very low input level. I'm assuming this is not normal, can anyone confirm? Also, even at the highest power setting and max volume, I can play in my loungeroom and it's nowhere near loud enough to play with a drummer. I swear when it was new there was no way I could max out like that - maybe I'm misremembering?
