Ok, I connected as you suggested and the dB seems more like it should be. I have to say I am not knocked out about how this sounds through my ac30. I will play around with it more. Usually it's the other way around for me w modelors but I actually much prefer the direct tones. I think I am going to end up sending dir out the mains and monitor with my amp...or something along those lines. Thx for the help and I will loop back as I progress.

Hi All, first time here. I just picked up an HX Stomp and have really been liking the direct tones I can create. After exploring and creating my direct presets, I went on to try the 4CM settings with my AC30. The sounds were underwhelming using this method and so I tried running my I/O in different configurations i.e. guitar direct into left IN and OUT to the front of the vox with the fx going through the vox fx loop, the fx inserted into the front of the amp. With all configs I noticed a significant dB cut. I checked to make sure my ins/outs were set to 'instrument' and they were. I cranked the volume pot on the stomp but still the problem persists. I want to note that, besides a very definite dB cut, the tone is very thin and it sounds like a gain staging issue. The thing is, I can not see a way to tweak the I/O beyond what I mentioned (setting the global I/O to 'instrument'). Any thoughts are appreciated.
