  1. I just used what came with it-Pod Farm 1&2 and Gear Box. I removed everything pertaining to it from my PC and I really don't feel like re installing it just to de authorize it. Can this be done on the website? JB
  2. Hi; Regrettably, I need to sell my Line 6 Pod Studio UX2. It's about 5 years old but still works great. My question is how would I transfer the license and authorization to the new owner? Thanks! John B
  3. Hi; I recently bought a new Lenovo i5 desktop PC and maximized it for music making. I have the Pod Studio UX2 set up as the PCs default soundcard so everything soundwise comes through the UX2 and into my studio monitors.(I have the PCs internal soundcard disabled). As the UX2 has no on/off switch, in order to protect the PC and UX2 from damage or software/firmware corruption I've made it a habit to unplug the UX2 before shutting down the PC and when I start up I wait until the PC is fully booted up before I plug the UX2 into the USB port (in the rear of the PC). My question is would it be OK to leave the UX2 plugged into the PC at all times whether on or off since the PC is the UX2s source of power anyway or have I been correct in disconnecting before shutting down? Thanks John B
  4. I'm sure. I could plug the speakers into the headphone jack, but it's kind of a pain to disconnect them from the back of the PC. I have it in a rather odd position due to space constraint. I didn't think it would be a good idea to mix through the UX2 either. But I want to get rid of ASIO4ALL because it's causing me issues in processor use and latency. Somebody on the Sonar forum suggested I get rid of ASIO4ALL and use other drivers for mixing and MIDI recording (writing). Thanks John B.
  5. Headphones when using UX2. Speakers every other time JB
  6. Monitoring Sonar through UX2 drivers to record vocals. To record MIDI and mix I use ASIO4ALL. JB
  7. Thank you, Billbee. But don't I also have to do something in the PCs software to activate the Line In? JB
  8. Hi. I've owned a Pod Studio UX2 interface for several years now and I am very happy with its performance and how easy it is to use. I work with Sonar X3 Studio and I've been under the impression that I needed to have ASIO4ALL on board to record and monitor MIDI instruments. Having talked with some members of the Cakewalk forum on this subject and buffer/latency problem, they advised me to uninstall ASIO4ALL as it is only really used to record audio. When I record audio (vocal track) I use the ASIO drivers provided for the UX2 but switch to ASIO4ALL when doing the final mix. I was advised that it would serve me better to uninstall ASIO4ALL and monitor everything through the UX2, which I would like to try, but other than just plugging my cheap IPOD type monitor speakers into the UX2s headphone jack, I would rather use the outputs on the back of the UX2. Could you please direct me to instructions on how to do that through the INPUT jack of the PC. What kind of Y connector do I need and how would I set my desktop PC up to do this correctly? Thank you very much! John B.
  9. Thanks guys. I think triyche hit on it. I didn't have the Pod Studio connected. :o JB
  10. Hi; Recently bought a new laptop to replace an old one. Have account established. Pod Studio UX2 comes through on My Account and the Monkey, managed to install and download newest Pod Farm 1. The monkey also downloaded PF 2.55 but when I try to run it a splash screen says it needs to be licensed. When I bring up License Manager there's nothing there but my computer. No software! But PF 1 runs OK. How can I register and license PF 2.55? Thanks John Bowen
