Dear all,
I just want to confirm this info with Helix LT owners before committing to purchasing one. Based upon what I read from the manual, it seams that it is possible to use the helix to sort of “multichannel” an amp (or any), with the use of the 4-cable method and using various Send + Returns in the signal route of the guitar inside the Helix, without any cable change.
I have a Friedman PT-20, which sounds incredible. As being a single channel amp, the only way I can achieve a clearer sound is to roll the volume down, which is totally fine. However, lately I’ve been looking into adding more versatility into my setup. So far, the Helix really displays as the perfect candidate to what I envision.
Here is an example of two patches I thought I would like to have in my disposal (without any cable change!):
Patch 1: Guitar -> boost/overdrive (Helix) -> front PT-20 -> send PT-20 -> mod/effects (Helix) -> return PT-20 -> PT-112 speaker cab
Patch 2: Guitar -> boost/overdrive+PreampModel(no cab sim)+mod/effects (Helix) -> return PT-20 -> PT-112 speaker cab.
As I said, I love my PT-20 sounds, and I want to have it in my disposal at any time. I hope the helix can achieve that because it look an incredible product.
Thanks!
