I own all the redwirez stuff and I can honestly say that the stock ir's are just as good and eat up less dsp. Yes there are less options but tweaking individual cabs is really fast and has a huge impact. Rather than flick through tons of different ir's trying to find the right one I can get in the ballpark and go from there with mics, placement, then high and lowpass filters. One thing that I've really noticed with Helix vs. the HD stuff is that more cabs and mics will work well with any given amp. It seemed like the amps in the HD 500 only played nice with a few cabs.
As far as this demo goes Pete is a great player with great tone. I feel like a demo like this should have been done right off the bat by an experienced third party known for making quality demos.
