Yeah, I don't care about factory presets either, but need the amp models that got introduced in earlier versions of the firmware. That's my real concern about updating only to the latest

Dumb question here: does the latest flash update "include" the older ones? I mean, if I buy a HD500 today, and it comes with, say, version 1.0, installing only the latest update will bring me all the features released up until now?
