The expression pedal seems to have a very sharp curve compared to my old HD500 and have not found a way to change it yet. I have it set to control may amp gain and it seems like it increases very quickly in the first 1/3 of travel. My HD500 was far more consistent trough the entire travel range until I got to full travel and reached the set amount of gain increase.
