What kind of frets are installed on the shuriken? Stainless steel?

Can I put my real wah pedal between the guitar and helix to save a block? Can I put my loopstation after the helix (between helix and speakers) to avoid putting the routing blocks on each patch? Will putting real pedals before or after helix work fine or should I just use the internal send/returns?
