I think raising the output volume of the patches in HX edit before pushing to the HXS is the simplest answer. Its not like I have to do this all the time. I appreciate the input from everyone, thank you.

My primary goal is recording so Helix seemed like the right option for me. Having dry tracks during mix gives me more options. I only use the HXS at practice.

Unfortunately I bought the 112 model which has no USB input. Did you change to different type of amp/cab?

I have done that method. But that means that every time I push the set list to the Stomp, I have to go to each patch and perform the level set operation again.

This post concerns Helix Native, HX Stomp XL, and Powercab, I am not sure exactly which forum to post in so I will start here. My goal is to use patches created with Helix Native on the HX Stomp XL into the Powercab without resorting to duplication, or snapshots as that will be too much to manage. The issue that I am running into is that the output volumes for all my patches are level set to -12dB for recording. When I use those patches in the HX Stomp XL the output is not enough to drive the Powercabs input into the yellow. The output is set to line, and the main volume control is maxed. From the manual: When the signal LED(s) turn yellow, the Powercab speaker system will have the most realistic non-linear natural breakup characteristics. I have to be missing something obvious here its escaping me. Any practical advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Turning it off in the Windows Sound Control seemed to have been the trick. Thanks for the tip man.

I set the POD HD Pro and the Audiobox onto USB 2.0 ports and the problem remains. I moved the Audiobox onto a 3.0 port and left the POD on the 2.0 port the problem remains. I will do more research.

Hmm its looking like USB 3.0 might be causing the problem according to Google.

Hi, I have just moved from Windows XP to Windows 7, I know, late to the party, but better late than never. My XP system was rock solid but I am having a strange problem with the new setup. If the POD HD Pro is turned on, Windows audio slows down to half speed and gets distorted. If I turn it off the audio returns to normal. It does not seem to affect audio when using Cubase. The POD HD Pro is connected to a USB 3.0 input. The audio interface is a Presonus Audio Box 1818VSL also connected to USB 3.0 I have reinstalled the drivers for both devices. I am just starting my investigation so I dont have a lot of information yet. Thanks Steve
