  1. My buds in CT use the hd pro in their band, and apparently one of them had a similar issue. They had it fixed and apparently it was a faulty power jack (will check the recieved voltage levels tonight to find out). While the fuse does provide protection, I'm stumped by the fact the capacitor blows as well... the fuse is located before the capacitor in the circuit, so if the fuse blows then it should protect the capacitor. But alas it fails to do so :( Either way, I guess it's time to check the voltage and current levels for the jack and I guess the entire circuit board. If fixed I'll make a diagram / solution guide for future people whom may encounter this issue (I have a bad feeling it will become more common in the near future).
  2. Hello everyone... just wondering if anyone else's pod hd pro likes to NOTORIOUSLY blow its power sections fuse (t2.5ah250vp) and capacitor (85 Celcius 68uf 400v 10mm snap-in) which btw... both are un-necessarily hard to find and t2.5ah250v's just blow out... apparently the "p" is special in some magical way. I purchased it from sam ash in tampa FL about 14-15 months ago... and they gave me a 1 year warranty and wouldn't ya know it? 3 days out of warranty... capacitor and fuse blows... -.- lamesauce right? But I'm no tard when it comes to electronics... these capacitors are allegedly supposed to have a lifespan of thousands of hours. But there is no way I put that kind of juice through it... maybe 100-150 hours tops! But, I say whatev's and I fixed it myself and got a new power cord (rules that one out)! Why not right? Alternative is I spend probably 1/5th the price of the unit for L6 to fix a simple capacitor and fuse change... and that is just a waste and stupid considering any kid who took an electronics class in high school could do it. Anyhow, 1 month later it goes boom again. Moved houses/ states and fixed it! A couple weeks later, boom again. =( I just replaced the fuses and the capacitor for the third time. I guess we shall see how it goes. If anyone has some insight or has experienced the same, would be nice to know. Love my Hd Pro, but If this thing is going to need repairs constantly by myself or some dude at the L6 repair station, then im just gonna jump ship for a fractal.
