  1. Can any good samaritan see what happens when you select to download the USB firmware from Monkey (as in the image) ? I need the link to the file or the file that is downloaded by the USB Firmware link in monkey. I'm stuck in a dog-running-after-its-tail loop with this. I can't connect to get the firmware updates because my USB firmware is bad, and I need to connect to update it...
  2. Can anyone see what happens when you select to download the USB firmware from Monkey (as highlighted in image above) ?
  3. Check USB connector. It's a very frequent source for that type of problem.
  4. Thanks Hurghanico for your reply (and patience). I am attaching the image of where I saw the USB Firmware. I assumed it could be downloaded and updated. Your help is much appreciated.
  5. Hello. Re-actiating the thread. Working with Yamaha, but in parallel(to save a few bucks): Is there any way to get the USB Firmware contents ? I can see the Device Firmware | USB Firmware option available in Monkey, but cannot download the file since the drivers d'ont install because the USB Firmware is corrupt... HD500X USB firmware file. Thanks.
  6. I'll try that. Thank you very much for your input. :)
  7. Hi, Hurghanico. Thanks for your ID's. I actually made a copy-paste error on my post, so 0E41&PID_4159 is what I expected on a good system (I corrected my post). The PC was changed and software was reinstalled from scratch. Maybe I need to clarify: Can the "Line 6 screen reboot-in-a-loop" + USB device not recognized issues I have be related to a bad EEPROM ? (if seen before by Line 6 support) If so, is there an external (software) method to program the I2C EEPROM (U6) used by the USB Controller chip. I actually need the EEPROM to connect via USB to address the reboot in a loop issue with a firmware upgrade.
  8. Hello. After a catastrophy (power glitch I guess), I'm stuck in a boot loop with the Line 6 screen being displayed, then flashing, then Line 6 screen again (in a loop). My POD HD500X returns a bad USB ID, so I cannot connect via USB to install firmware. The USB ID I read is USB\VID_04B4&PID_8613&REV_:001, which is the Cypress USB chip's ID. I cannot connect to restore the firmware (with monkey) because Windows does not recognize it as a HD500X. I gather this might be a case for an EEPROM or Flash reprogram. Thing is I'm a bit far from the service center. Is there any way I could get something (software) to reprogram the EEPROM or flash ? or get replacement chips ? (I gather not, but hey, it's worth a try). Otherwise, does this sound like something the service center could (easily) help with ? Additionally: all diagnostics pass (right arrow on power up) What might also help is if someone could check the IDs they get in Windows Device Manager for the HD500X (I suspect something like 0E41&PID_4159). Thanks. Dan
