  1. Hey guys. I got a post that helped me get my 4cable method working nicely with other pedals in the mix and am now on the hunt to make my EVH 5150III EL34 get an AMAZING lead guitar solo tone. Obviously, some delay would be nice, but since I can't really push the volume in my apartment to test this, I'm wondering if anyone has some tips for using the PODHD500X for FX only (no amp sims) to produce something that is killer sounding, but without drowning the crowd in delay and losing the clarity. I was thinking maybe some compression and maybe a really low mixed chorus?
  2. So does that mean it goes in between the guitar and the POD Guitar In? Because I believe the last time i tried that it got really muffled
  3. I have my PODHD500X going into my (brand f****** spanking new) EVH 5150IIIs EL34 using the 4 cable method. Besides quite a bit of feedback, which I would welcome help on as well, but not as important, is that I don't know where my other pedals like my morley wah, my noise suppresor, etc. are supposed to go amidst all this chaos of cables. So just to reiterate where my cables are: Guitar to Guitar In (POD) FX Loop send (EVH 5150) to FX Return (POD) FX Return (EVH 5150) to Unbalanced Output L (POD) Input (EVH 5150) to FX Send(POD) I dont need the pedals to be in the effects loop btw. Just need it in front of the amp. Also if anyones experienced the feedback that I've got when the POD is 4cabled into the amp I'd love to know :) Super excited to get this fully setup and rocking for a gig in a few weeks
  4. Awesome. That's pretty simple. Thanks so much!
  5. Hello! I just got my PodHD500X. I've been using the 4 cable method and it's working great for fx and such, but I want to use one other feature, and I'm not sure if it exists. I have the older Peavey XXX head, going into my mesa. It stupidly has a 6-pin midi cable for the footswitch commands to switch channels. So I'd have to go buy a pedal specifically designed for it, or I'd have to somehow solder a 6-pin to 7-pin custom setup to go to my line 6. My main question is: Can I somehow use the 4 cable method to completely bypass my Peavey, and just use my Pod with a clean amp sim and use that as my "channel switch" instead?
