  1. turn off "Automatic Input Level" of Inter-App Audio. That's how I solved the problem. I can record very loud rehearsals without any clipping. Check out the explanation and a sample in my other post: http://line6.com/support/topic/10859-sonic-port-vx-any-live-recording/?hl=sonic+port
  2. You're welcome! We have a small room, so there are not many possibilities. I tried to place the Sonic Stereo Mic more far away from the drums and between our two guitar amps, to get some panorama effect on the guitars... ;)
  3. As I promised I recorded a pretty loud rehearsal session. This time I didn't have any problems with clipping. I even could have put more input level (it was between 2 and 3 on the Sonic mic, stereo), it was not even half of the bar in Garageband. Check out the sound sample of the live rehearsal of my band Avoid Alpha from Germany. ;) You can download the snippet via WeTransfer: http://we.tl/1PjTnRUMCw Check out also my band: http://avoidalpha.bandcamp.com/releases I'm looking forward for more recording sessions with my Sonic Port VX! ;)
  4. Hi, yes I made my first recordings of a really loud rehearsal of my post-hardcore band. I'm using an ipad and garageband. In the beginning I had some problems with clipping. Then I unchecked "Automatic input level" of Inter-App Audio and put the input level to almost zero. It got much better. In some parts I still have some small clippings but I can handle. It was my first trial so maybe I can get the clippings completely out at the next rehearsal session. By now I'm pretty enthusiastic about the Sonic Port VX. I will try to upload some snippets this week... cheers!
