  1. @guix Stumbled across this old post last night whilst trying to achieve the same thing - preset level instant commands. Did you ever solve it? Found the solution to this for any future readers! Turn off Duplicate PC Send (this affects both CC and PC messages, despite the name) in global settings. Then add the same instant command MIDI to all snapshots in a preset. When switching back to a previous snapshot the MIDI CC wont be sent again (as long as its the exact same MIDI CC). Effectively this emulates assigning a MIDI command to the preset and not snapshots. This is using Helix firmware 3.1 Hope it helps someone!
  2. actually i might do as advised and change the preset on the 4 count.....
  3. yea im geussing what im going to do is to make sure a drive snappoint of the song preset is the landing point of the next song as so if im ending with distortion from previous song it will ring out ( we have no songs that finish on a clean setting ) Then il just select the clean patch myself as the song starts. Thanks for the advice though , im not into all the amp modelling but i am looking foward to replacing the effects fron ny previous gt8 , hopefully they will sound much better considering the jump in technology
  4. Yes that's what I'm thinking I'm going to have to do but it would be nice if I could see the correct preset cued up ready on the display , even if just for peice of mind and knowing what song is next without the need of a written set list. Are you sure there's no workaround for this ?
  5. ok so the idea is currenty our DAW automatically cues up to the next track in the set and the instant it cues up i want the same song preset to cue in Helix but not actually be selected. This is because in some songs we play past the Daw tracks or i might let the guitar ring out with overdrive at the end of a song. If it selects the next song ( as the Daw will ) while im doiing this my sound is going to change before we actually start the next song. Hope you get what i mean :)
  6. Hi guys ive just bought a Helix and intend to use it in place of my boss gt8. I play in a covers band who use cubase Daw live and i have always used banks per song with 4 patches of sounds for each song ( verse chorus solo etc ) It looks like Helix is geared up for this, particulary with the snapshots but what i would like to do is send a midi command to call up each song from cubase to the Helix so i dont have to think about finding it in the Helix. From what i can see Helix will be able to do this but is it possible to command the next preset to be ready on the Helix but not actually selected. Same as if i was selecting the next bank on a multi effects board but cueing it ready but havent actually hit the patch to start the sound. Basically i want cubase to send the midi command at the to selct the next song to be ready before we have finished the song we are currently on in the setlist Thanks for any help and advice on this, looking foward to getting stuck into it and dialling all my sounds in from my gt8 Andy
