Hi all; I'm fairly new to the Line6 family, and the local shop that carries Line6 unfortunately has no experience with recording gear. 1 - can the record/overdub - play/stop controls on the HD500X be used to control recording in a daw such as Logic 9?
2 -can I use it at all in place of a FBV Shortboard with the SpiderJam amp? You might be wondering why I'd want to given all that the HD500X does, and I'd answer that if I could. However, as I do not own either piece of gear yet, I am just checking out possibilities. I'm purchasing the SpiderJam for teaching and small gigs within the next few weeks, and I already have a Shortboard Express that I use with my Spider IV - 15. I want to know if I'd have to buy the Shortboard, or could I use the HD500X to control the amp.
