Will there be a new USB cable?

I'm using my Sonic Port with an iPad Air 2 and the application Bias FX. The lowest amount of latency I can achieve is 17ms on the ultra low setting. I'm testing latency with the following setup: Pod HD500 L > Recording interface ch1 Guitar < Pod HD500 R > Sonic Port/iPad > Recording interface ch2 I record a transient and, in Logic measure the ms offset difference. I'd like to know if this amount of latency is normal
