Well I never got to try out this setup. I ended up returning the Power cab as it sounded like an overpriced toy compared to my other cabs. I would imagine you want the power amp modeling to make any preamp sound "complete".

Does a preamp signal need power amp modeling as well to sound legit through the Powercab? I have a Powercab on order and am wondering if a standalone preamp (like a Synergy module) would sound good straight into the Powercab, or would I need to add my Torpedo Cab M+ after the preamp to insert a power amp model?

Hey guys, apologies if this has been covered in the past, but I am on the verge of buying a Helix and just want to confirm some routing options: I'd like to be able to send a fully modeled tone (preamp + poweramp + IR) to FOH, but use my own poweramp and cab to monitor myself on stage, without an IR. So I'd like to create a preset that can divide itself into two signal paths: one path gets a preamp model, a poweramp model, and an IR, then gets sent to FOH. The second path gets the same preamp/poweramp models, but no IR, and get's sent to my own amp/cab. Is this possible, and if so, any tips to making this work seamlessly? Thank you!

Hey guys, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on how effective the Low-frequency driver is in the L3m/L3t when playing a 6-string guitar in standard tuning. The specs say the LF1 Low-pass crossover frequency is 250hz. Even in standard E tuning on a 6-string, the LF driver should be activating on the lower notes right? I have read on this forum that unless you are using 7 or 8 string guitars, or a bass guitar, the Low-frequency driver of the L3m/L3t will not activate and as such you might as well just buy the L2m/L2t for 6-string guitar. I play hard rock and metal, but don't really tune down past drop D. I'm just wondering if I will get more low end out of the L3 vs the L2? Thanks!

This topic has been covered briefly in other posts, but I just wanted to reiterate this point because I found it strange but interesting. My HD500 drivers would not install (I was getting code 10, device failed to start). I tried just about everything until finally I plugged my usb cable straight into the back of my computer instead of the ports up front...problem solved. The interesting thing is that I use my front ports for just about everything and they have never given me problems. Hopefully this helps!
