  1. Hi guys, can anyone tell me where the heck I go to post a new thread. My M20d wont recognise the latest update on my SD card yet it allowed the previous one to work and now my ipad won't talk to it and I can't find an update for stagescape on my ipad and would really like some ideas or help. Cheers Craig.
  2. Does anyone know if there is a tutorial on setting up in ear monitors on the stagescape. Cheers guys, C.
  3. Hi guys, I am travelling over from NZ to LA next couple of weeks and was wondering about power settings. I have the line 6 m20 desk and just wondered if anyone knew whether it would work as per normal over there. Also do you have any restrictions on the frequency of mics over there. They have just brought in a bunch of off limit frequencies here since sky tv bought them up that have thrown the sound industry into a bit of turmoil as it cuts out a tonne of mic frequencies. Cheers for any info.
  4. Coming from NZ to the States, I have the soundscape desk...is the power going to be ok to use over there with this desk

  5. Quick question here. Is there a way to join two ipads together when using the stagescape mixer so you can not only control the desk but also play backing tracks without having to have the ipad with the play list connected through the desk via a jack to stereo lead.
  6. Thanks RealZap. Yep that is my programme. Would be interested to hear of any others out there that are good a have a nice easy work interface.
  7. Price wise over here in NZ is huge even when you add the ipad price to it. Though most ppl nowadays have one already. I am really hoping the difference is quite a lot with the performance of the desks as the guy who sold me my M20d has gone and bought one of the Mackie desks :-/ The Mackie had not shown up on the shop floor till a couple of months later but I am wondering whether he knew it was coming and wouldn't have minded comparing the two. I love the M20 so pretty sure I would have gone with it but for what I do as well the Mackie would have poss made the choice a lot harder.
  8. Thanks guys, I will have a play with the trim settings as they may have been where I fell down last time. Now for a really stupid question dBoomer... by DAW do you mean my Goldwave music programme on my laptop. In which case yep I will take the folders and combine my tracks for final mix. That is where I had the problem last time of finding the inconsistant levels with tracks and vocals.
  9. So wondering whether anyone has looked at this new desk Mackie have put out and compared it to the M20. I have the M20 and I know a couple of guys that have gone and bought the new Mackie but I have not had a chance to look it over. Is it as good as they say or does it fall short. I know the price difference is a big jump.
  10. Hi guys, so I am going to ask a question regarding level volumes on recordings again. Sorry if this has been posted and answered before. I am about to go and do some recordings with my M20. I would really like some simple no tech advice on what was going wrong the last time I tried this. I recorded onto a good quality SD card tracks and vocals. Played it back on the desk and the mix is great. Put it onto my laptop and the levels of the vocals are hugely less than the music. The music is backing tracks recorded through line 13/14 stereo. I have the volumes of the vocals up to good strong levels. The music is poss have the strength. The main mix out is nice and strong recording for performance levels. I really don't want to have to sit there and increase the Db of my vocals when mixing them with my music just to get the levels equal. I would have thought that whatever I heard from my main mix and from the play back mix of the desk is what I would get once I loaded them on to my laptop. What would be really great is an actual vid tutorial of recording a live mix and not just the recording tutorial that is on the site. As that one is simply backing tracks being recorded and played back on the desk. Something that walks you through how to set the desk up to get a good result that sounds the same as the play back recording you listen to before loading it into your laptop or P.C. I can't think of what else I can do if I have the levels all up at good volumes and what is causing the huge difference between levels of vocals and levels of track. Cheers for any nice simple advice guys. I am not a sound tech... I know my way around my desk but all the tech talk would be wasted on me :-) Thanks in advance.
