The last time I tried to turn on my 1500, the screen failed to show any text and the amp failed to function. There is power to the amplifier because the screen is backlit but dim, and I can hear the amp switching on. I turned it on and off about 89 times and then it finally turned on like it was supposed to, but that was yesterday. Now it's doing it again and I can't get it to turn on correctly. If I can get it to turn on, I'll check if there's a software update, but I have a sinking feeling this is a hardware issue. Ordered from sweetwater about a month ago, I have the FB3, which never moves past the FBV 3 v1.00.00 on the startup. Is there a hard restart I can do? Because an amp that won't turn on isn't worth a darn.
