  1. @rd2rkit took some time for me to figure it a bit more out. The problem was that when the FX loops weren't used they still were bypassed. It needs this: -A/B split, route to footswitch with setting min 100% to A and max 100% to B -same footswitch switches the FX1 and FX2 loops on or off -mixer A 100% left, B 100% right This works until... i use an effect after the mixer. When using a mono effect I get equal signals L&R. When I use a stereo effect there is a lower signal created on the other side. See the attached file EDIT: I think this works for me. This way the correct preamp is used for electric or acoustic guitar which makes the biggest difference. Both preamps have a DI. Both returns on the preamp get a signal passing it to the DI. Both DI's don't seem to have a distict different sound, sot works for me. I guess even usable for stereo effects. electricacoustic.hlx
  2. thank you! It helps me further to understand it. But it's working for me. It seems that the problem is that if there is an effect used between the merge/mixer and the main l/r, this effect blends both channels. Doesn't matter if i use a stereo/mono/legacy effect. Even when the channels are fully panned or 1 channel is set on -60dB level. When I remove or disable the effect, then it works! So your solution will only work for me when i put my post FX before the merge. So the merge is the last thing before main l/r. Problem is that every channel now needs it's own reverb instead of sharing the same one. So this doubles the amount of post FX. I use 2 reverbs, 1 delay and 1 chorus. There is not enough space for all these effects
  3. I want to use my HX effects and two preamps with DI. My usecase: -I usually play electric guitar -sometimes I switch to acoustic guitar. I use the same input for that -I play in a silent band. So everything via DI's to the mixer. -I have two preamps with DI. 1 for electric guitar, 1 for acoustic guitar. So I use the FX loops on the HX effects and I use the FX loops on the preamps -I want to use the HX effects for my effects for both pathways. But I don't want the channels mixed up Setup: HX effects settings: -I don't fully understand, but this is the closest I could get to work. -FX loop 1: before hard panned Y split -FX loop 2: after split on de right -if FX loop 1 off & FX loop 2 on: then there is no signal from HX effects output 1 & signal from output 2. Great! -if FX loop 1 on & FX loop 2 off: then there is signal from HX effects output 1 & no signal from output 2. Great! -both off: no signal on both -both on: signals mixed So no problem there, just how I want it. Problem: I don't understand... -when I put FX loop 1 after the split (so hard panned to 1), then signal 1 also comes back to HX effects output 2. I Don't understand this. -same when I remove the split I have the feeling there should be another way to improve my settings.
