I want to use my HX effects and two preamps with DI.
My usecase:
-I usually play electric guitar
-sometimes I switch to acoustic guitar. I use the same input for that
-I play in a silent band. So everything via DI's to the mixer.
-I have two preamps with DI. 1 for electric guitar, 1 for acoustic guitar. So I use the FX loops on the HX effects and I use the FX loops on the preamps
-I want to use the HX effects for my effects for both pathways. But I don't want the channels mixed up
Setup:
HX effects settings:
-I don't fully understand, but this is the closest I could get to work.
-FX loop 1: before hard panned Y split
-FX loop 2: after split on de right
-if FX loop 1 off & FX loop 2 on: then there is no signal from HX effects output 1 & signal from output 2. Great!
-if FX loop 1 on & FX loop 2 off: then there is signal from HX effects output 1 & no signal from output 2. Great!
-both off: no signal on both
-both on: signals mixed
So no problem there, just how I want it.
Problem:
I don't understand...
-when I put FX loop 1 after the split (so hard panned to 1), then signal 1 also comes back to HX effects output 2. I Don't understand this.
-same when I remove the split
I have the feeling there should be another way to improve my settings.
