  1. Diagnostics are complete: 2 problems: 1. Dodgy G50 cable (guitar to pack). Seems to be a problem with wire where it feeds in to 4 pin socket end 2. One spot power supply on effects. SOLUTION 1. Upgrade to premium cable 2. Voodoo labs pedal power 2 +. Will let you know if it works when done.
  2. Thanks very much for your help. I will go away and try a few things. The noise is consistant whether plugged in to same power strip or differenct supply source. I will try in the PA and see what the results is. I agree with you, though, its definatetley the gain factor which amplifies; but it is really instrusive. I have tried noise gating it out, but this turned it to a loud hiss (which, granted, may be a reflection of the gate rather than anything else). I've also put the gate post pre-amp - but have to max out the threshold to overcome. Live, the way I contol it is to step out of gain channel at any point where I am not playing - rolling the guitar volume off isn't an option. Just plugging a lead straight from guitar to amp cures all - but its not what I'm looking for.
  3. With guitar volume rolled back to zero and transmitter on, my G50 creates a continuous background signal noise when plugged in to Marshall 410 Amp on gain channels. This noise is completelely absent when plugging guitar direct in to amp by cable (and can not be heard on clean channel). I am using EMG 81 and SA active pickups. Please help
