Don, thanks for the info. My system works with direct cable hookup to the mixer, but that's because it's a DPA 4099 clip-on condenser mic using an XLR cable. It won't work as a line input, obviously, so I was wondering how much preamp boost might be on the signal coming out of the G50. From other posts here, I know the Line6 transmitter should work with the DPA 4099, as long as I get the gold-plated, diamond-encrusted DPA plug adapter. ;) I've used this mic with a Sennheiser G3 wireless, with the line out to either a tuner pedal, or direct to a mixer line input. One reason I'm considering a G50 is to get something a little more compact that would fit on a pedalboard (and lose the compander artifacts). Anyway, sounds like this will work, one way or another.

Hi, a question here about the G50 receiver: I'm thinking about setting up a very minimal pedal board for use with mandolin or acoustic guitar, with just a wireless receiver and a tuner pedal. From there, the signal would go directly to our PA mixer. The tuner pedal is in "true bypass" mode when it's not active, so the mixer would be seeing the direct output of the G50. Is the output of the G50 hot enough to use a line input on the mixer? Or should I use a DI and a mic input on the mixer? The cable run will be short -- usually no more than 15 feet, since I mix from the stage. So I'm not too concerned about having a balanced cable. It would be convenient to use one of the line inputs on the mixer if I can get away with it, to free up a mic channel for other things. If a DI to a mic input is the better choice, then do you recommend active or passive DI? I would guess passive, but I thought I'd get your input.
