Don, thanks for the info. My system works with direct cable hookup to the mixer, but that's because it's a DPA 4099 clip-on condenser mic using an XLR cable. It won't work as a line input, obviously, so I was wondering how much preamp boost might be on the signal coming out of the G50. From other posts here, I know the Line6 transmitter should work with the DPA 4099, as long as I get the gold-plated, diamond-encrusted DPA plug adapter. ;)
I've used this mic with a Sennheiser G3 wireless, with the line out to either a tuner pedal, or direct to a mixer line input. One reason I'm considering a G50 is to get something a little more compact that would fit on a pedalboard (and lose the compander artifacts). Anyway, sounds like this will work, one way or another.
