  1. Hey everyone, Saw here - http://line6.com/pod-studio/ux1/ That Cubase LE 8 comes with sound card now. Does this apply only to people buying the sound card now or works for us old users too.
  2. I hope I'm in the right section and that my title is actually correct. I've been using UX1 for around a year or so and it's been doing it's job pretty ok. The problem that I've started encountering I will try to describe as best as I can. To start of, I'm using Windows 8.1 and Cubase 5. When I record a song I use the smallest buffer size, because of latency, and when I finish it and when I mix it I use the biggest one, because if I don't, if I leave it on the smallest one, I get the stuttering sound, and changing buffer size to maximum fixes that. The problem that I have is, that if I load up a bigger number of vst plugins, not always, but in many cases, I think, and I will explain why, my Asio codec from my sound card crashes and I have to restart PC to make it work again. That's the reason why I called the topic Asio crash and also if I again open Cubase and try selecting my UX1 as Asio driver (before restarting) I get a message "Asio driver open failure" and as I've mentioned I have to restart PC to get it to work again. I have checked every component of my PC and also had this problem on Windows 7 with old hard drive, I recently switched to 8.1 and I have new HDD, my RAM memory is checked and fine, CPU, same, MB, same. I've tried a bit to use Asio Generic Low Driver (don't know exact name) and I didn't have this problem happening. So is there something that I am doing wrong and is there some way of fixing this, cause it's driving me crazy, because when I bought the card, people here told me that I would be losing a lot if I used some other Asio driver, so would like to try to solve this problem out, if possible.
  3. Yes, I use UX1 as a default one, I disable my internal soundcard, and no this has nothing to do with Cubase, I just said that in Cubase it can work for hours without anything happening, but in Windows it just stops after some time.
  4. Few days ago I've bought KRK Rokit 5 monitors and decided to throw my old speakers out. I've set up everything perfectly with my UX1 and it works like a charm when recording, but when I use my UX1 outside of Cubase it just stops producing any sound on my monitors or headphones. Then I have to restart PC and it works for some time and same thing happens again. The one soultion that I found was to change USB settings in Power options, but that didn't help, still happens and it's kinda driving me crazy so any help is appreciated. I'm using WIN7 btw, if some hardware stuff is needed I will post it. Thanks in advance!
  5. Thanks for your fast answer, was figuring it's best to get answer before buying. Thanks once again, can be closed now :)
  6. I hope I didn't failed with the section. I have a simple question. I'm the I would say proud owner of Line6 UX-1 sound card. I plan on buying KRK Rokit RP5 G2 monitors and I was interested to know if I am able to use them with my sound card. Thanks in advance
  7. I have just one more last question for what I explained in my first post. Am I losing anything if I'm using ASIO4ALL together with UX1 or not? Thanks!
  8. Yes they are. Monitoring is turned off, but as I said when I have my Cubase setup to use UX1 and it's ASIO driver I get a stuttering sound when I load Superior Drummer.
  9. Hey silver, thanks for your reply. I have done that. On 512 the stuttering disappears, but then I'm encoutering another problem, my latency is too high. But on 128 no latency but big stuttering, and on 256 it's like 50/50, little latency and little stuttering. I forgot to mention that.
  10. Ok so I have bought Line6 UX1 few days ago and I have some questions about it. Before I bought it, I have used ASIO4ALL when I was recording with my Cubase 5. Now the problem that I've encoutnered is, when I bought UX1 I have changed my device, instead of ASIO4ALL I have put Asio UX1, and the sound and latency are great, but when I try loading Superior drummer my sound starts stuttering. I have then come up with solution to use ASIO4ALL but instead of my onboard sound card I select UX1 as an input device. So my question is, is it a good way to use it like that, and is there maybe a solution to stop getting that stuttering sound when I load Superior drummer? Hope I was clear enough and thanks in advance!
