The states that midi use should be through channel 1.
I have an old ART X11 midi pedal that only works sending channel 1. At first it did not work. I went to the Catalyst edit function. Upper right there's a drop down for midi channels. It was set to channel 2. I reset it to 1 and now I can access all 12 presets (6 banks x 2) with the X11.
I believe there's far too little documentation on use of midi pedals to access the twelve presets. It's been very frustrating.
I tried paintaudio midi controller and could not get it to communicate at all.
Sweetwater informed me that the Tech21 Mongoose 5 will work with the Cat 100. It's very similar to my X11. Just make sure the channel is set to 1 in the edit app.
