Many thanks chaos for the quick reply. I'm really glad I asked cos I rang Line 6 support yesterday (16.01.15) and the nice gentleman on the phone said I could use the cab models without the amp selected! I had my suspicions soon as I looked at the edit software. I'm still interested in the Pod all the same. Thanks again.

Hi folks, I'm very interested in the Pod HD Desktop. Could somebody tell me if the Cab Models are available without the Amps? In the Manual that I downloaded, in the Amp list (6.11) you can select 'Amp Disabled' When this is selected are the Cab models still available? I've also downloaded the HD Edit software to look at and the option for 'no amp' isn't there - strange.......... I'd like to try a valve pre amp through the speaker models. Hope you can help.
